>Why this role is different.
→Real ownership, not a queue. You look after your own group of students and families - they know your name, and you're the one they trust.
→You're the reason they stay. This isn't background admin. The relationship you build is what keeps a student going instead of quietly dropping off. The impact is real, and you can see it.
→Real skills, fast. Looking after lots of relationships, handling hard conversations and spotting problems early. The kind of judgement most people take years to learn.
→Work that fits your life. Fully remote, set evening and weekend hours, your daytimes are your own. Real responsibility, no 9-to-5 commute.
→A mission that actually matters. We work with 1,200+ students whose schools are letting them down. The work means something.
>Who we are
Syllabi is an online GCSE prep platform for UK students in Maths, English and Science. Live group lessons, 24/7 personal tutors, workbooks, recordings, and marked assessments - all in one place.
We built the whole platform from the ground up. Nobody else in UK edtech is doing this at scale, and 1,200+ students already rely on us as their main way of learning.
>What you'll do
Look after your own group of students and their families. Reply to their messages, check in regularly, and make sure no one gets forgotten.
Spot problems before parents do. Notice the student who's gone quiet, the assessment that's late, the family who's unsure - and step in before they leave.
Help students with GCSE questions outside of lessons.
Use our internal tools to keep track of your students and stay on top of who needs you.
Be the warm, human voice of Syllabi. Not a script, not a bot - a real person who makes a big programme feel personal.
>Mandatory Requirements
DO NOT apply if you do not meet these requirements exactly, as your application will be automatically rejected.
- •Right to work in the UK long-term. We don't sponsor visas.
- •Hold a completed degree in a Maths or Science subject (or a closely related STEM field).
- •A strong academic track record.
- •A thorough understanding of the UK GCSE and A-Level system - the subjects, the grading, and what students go through - as you'll be supporting students through it directly.
- •Write fluently and warmly in English. This is the core of the job, and we'll test it during the interview.
